So you all know that I had the chance of attending AMA, also known as Anime Mid Atlantic, well you all know it was fun. Well I should tell you one of the fun parts was everyone there. I got to attend with 2 of my closest friends. ONe of my friends is also my photographer on my fashion shoots, so I thought I may need him for photos. The other mainly just to keep me company. It was all of our first experience at a con. I can say that I have been around other anime fans, so don’t get me wrong. Only thing is I have not been around this sheer number at once, or any in cosplay.
I guess I should explain to you cosplay. Cosplay is short for “costume play”. Its when fans of some kind dress up in honor of what they are a fan of. You can find them at cons, tv, movies, pretty much it has taken the world by storm. Some people can even make a living doing it. I myself have not tried it, maybe I will someday.
The one thing I can say about fellow anime fans, they are a group that is the most welcoming group. Anime fans will talk to you about their fav series. They will try their best to welcome you in the brightest and warmest way. They could careless if your gay, straight, black, or white. The one thing I can say is that you see that when you walk around any con. You make new friends and you can talk to anyone.

Thank you so much to all the cosplayers who allowed me to photo them. Also to all the ones that I had the fortunate ability to see. You guys were amazing. Next year I’ll have so many more.

James Gunn’s foray into Marvel Cosmic has come. The trailer for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” has arrived. The trailer shows just a little of the humor that the most recent Guardians is known for. Will we get the talking heads? Will we get the slap stick? Will we even get the now famous confessionals that tells us about what happened behind the scenes? Who knows! Most that have been fans of Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, and Drax are probably hoping for at least nods there. But who knows what will be pulled from the Guardians illustrious history. What we do know is that nods are done. The soundtrack for the trailer was great. Also, did anybody notice that Peter Quill may still be using a walkman? I can’t wait. And any Whovians that watched should have spotted Amy Pond herself Karen Gillan as the villainous Nebula. Wish we could have saw Lee Pace’ Ronan. Oh well, I think this will help us get through til the movie premieres stateside on August 1st 204.
Cast: Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, David Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon, Vin Diesel as Groot, Benicio Del Toro as The Collector, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser.
OK, anybody who knows me, knows my love for certain lines. In the spotlights on my favs and designers I’m watching this fashion week you will also learn them. Well in the top 5 is Rag and Bone. I found out about them years ago. Since learning about this awesome duo, I’ve watched them become greater and greater. I will talk about them more later in the month, like their background and the growth of the company. Just what you need to know is that I was waiting for this show with baited breath and it did not disappoint me at all.
Here are just the few that I loved:
Lacoste is a line that is known for clothes with a more athletic flare. The look is more in the range of polo shirts, tennis shoes and the such. Its a great casual attire company. Their show showed that they were adding more elements and taking a step in a slightly different direction this season.
Of course the young celebs were out. Like one of my favs Colton Haynes. Also in the front row was Bella Thorne, Joe Jonas, Cara Santana, and Jesse Metcalfe.
Can’t wait to see them rocking the alligator.

Herve Leger is one of my favorite lines for women. In my opinion, they are one of the great lines when it comes to showing the female form. Many know about the “bandage dress”. The dress has become one of their known staples like DVF’s wrap dress. So of course I was looking forward to seeing the looks from this weeks show. Here are some of my favs of course.
These are just my favs from the show. I wonder if any will get a red carpet debut. What do you think?
Todd Snyder is someone that i found out about last year this time. I’m a huge fan of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and in 2013 he was a finalist. I had the pleasure of being able to see these looks. I will say pleasure because I’m loving these looks. Todd Snyder has done a great job.
loving this sweater, would love to wear this one to the office:
The shirt underneath this top looks great, wish I could see more. The jacket is also great. I can see why they were paired together:
Again, another sweater I would probably wear with everything. Also the pants have both a great look and the fit is great:
I’m guessing this a tuxedo jacket. The lapels have a great look. I love the contrast and the size of them. It gives the body a leanness withput making a man look to lanky. There’s a masculinity:
Celebs spotted at the show were actors Eric West and Zachary Quinto
So Richard Chai of course had an awesome show. I thought i would include some of my favorite looks from the 6ths show:
My top looks:
Also I spotted some lookers and dressers in the crowd: My fav young up and comer Colton Haynes
Also a shot of globe trotting and awesome actor Bryan Greenberg (btw congrats Bryan on the engagement to my fav actress in the world Jamie Chung)
My boy: Zachary Quinto
Colton…someone CALL ME!! I want seats. The show was great and the looks are amazing. Btw, do Colton and Bryan have similar jackets or is that just me?
